The following selection of materials were developed by Blaze for use in Integrated Physics and Chemistry.
Special thanks to Lisa Hightower and Annette Capps for their mentorship, and Otelia Henry for collaborating on lesson planning and classroom instruction.
A hybrid practical and semester exam, used in place of a traditional fall semester exam. This assumes an IPC course where chemistry topics are taught in the fall and physics topics in the spring.
Students complete a pre-lab answering questions related to the chemistry-focused fall semester and the upcoming lab. In the lab, students observe the solubility of a variety of solutes in a variety of solvents, and draw conclusions about the bonding nature of the solutes and solvents observed.
